Returns & Refunds

At Renee Materials, we sell reclaimed and surplus materials, many of which are unique in character and appearance. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.


1. Your Right to Cancel (Standard Items)

Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.

To exercise this right, you must inform us in writing at hello@reneematerials.co.uk within 14 days of delivery.

You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.


2. Custom-Cut & Made-to-Order Items

Items that are cut to a specific length or customised to your request (including fabric cut from a roll to a requested measurement) are considered made-to-order goods.

In accordance with UK consumer regulations, the right to cancel does not apply to custom-cut or personalised items unless they are faulty or materially different from the description.

Please ensure you carefully check measurements before placing your order.


3. Conditions for Returns

To be eligible for a refund on standard (non-custom) items:

  • Items must be unused, uncut, unaltered, and in their original condition

  • Items must not be damaged after delivery

  • Materials must not have been treated, washed, processed, or modified

Due to the reclaimed and surplus nature of our materials, variations in colour, texture, size, tone, or finish that are consistent with the product description are not considered defects.

If goods are returned in a diminished condition, we reserve the right to make a deduction from the refund to reflect any loss in value.


4. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.

We recommend using a tracked delivery service, as we are not responsible for items lost in transit.

5. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or materially different from the description, please contact us as soon as possible, including photographs where possible.

In such cases, we will arrange a replacement or full refund, including return shipping costs where applicable.


6. Refund Process

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for purchase.

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of you notifying us of your cancellation, or within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of postage, whichever is the applicable trigger.
